What We Do

In keeping with our mission, the Nordonia Schools Foundation is involved in long and short term projects which further life-long learning in the Nordonia Hills school community.

Since our charter in 1995, the Board of Trustees have built a Post Secondary Scholarship Program which has distributed a substantial amount in scholarships to graduates of Nordonia Hills High School. In recent years, the Board of Trustees has worked to maintain each scholarship at the $1,500 level. Scholarships are presented at the annual Senior Awards Program and checks are given directly to students upon proof of their enrollment.

The Foundation awards mini-grants to individual teachers, building staffs, and academic departments for special projects and classroom needs. This includes matching funds from the Nordonia Hills Board of Education.

Each year the Nordonia Schools Foundation has granted funding assistance to current High School students who are involved in advanced extra-curricular activities. Students have been awarded funds involved in the People to People program, Eagle Scout programs, and programs designed at developing young leaders. Additionally, the Foundation supports student programs and events such as Knights Caring for Knights and Superintendent’s Dinner.

The Foundation was established in 1995, is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that It is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees.
